hey ho, what the dealio?

I am on vacation. I've been working like a dog on this writing gig since last July. I jumped immediately from Your Alibi to Good Touch.

That means I'm getting to know my family again because my kids are starting to ask, "Who's that lady who sleeps with Dad?", spending more time with my husband, who's a pretty great guy, and sitting at the desk less, except when I'm playing an awesome computer game with lots of graphic blood spattering when I kill someone. I'm taking a break, ya'll. I'll post when I feel like it for the next week or so, but we're on hiatus from the regular posting schedule.

Ironically my vacation is wearing me out. I'm taking care of everything I let slide when I was a writing machine: grocery shopping, paying bills, taking pets to the vet. So much fun stuff and I have another exciting day of errands lined up for tomorrow. The plus side is that I'm out in the sunshine. I was starting to hiss like Gollum when dragged out into the light. The next step was calling my keyboard Preciousss and walking all hunched over and shit.

I'll keep you guys posted on my various submissions cos I know you care so much. Anyway, I'm off to enjoy a cool, juicy slice of watermelon. What's your favorite fruit?

PS I vacationed at that spot, the last time I traveled.

I do care about you making sales! I think watermelon, strawberries and blueberries are tied for my favorites. Mmm mmm.

All work and no play make the writer a very dull girl. Try to find some time in the errands to and fro to actually enjoy yourself. And please, pass the pineapples and blackberries.

Have a fun vacation. Squeeze in some time to read and/or relax and/or imbibe various margaritas. =)

As for fruit... I don't think I can pick a favorite. Love watermelon. Also peaches, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, grapes, apples, pears....

Have a great vacation! Most of mine are the "at home" kind anyway.

Favorite fruit? I guess peaches and cantelope. But I'm especially fond of oranges and limes in my margaritas...

Aw, enjoy your time off. You've been working hard, I know!

Where was that photo taken? Reminds me a bit of the beaches we went to in Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa a couple of Christmases ago.

As for favorite fruits, well, definitely not watermelon (or any other sort of melon). I'm allergic. (As a kid, I always wondered why people liked watermelon so much when it makes your throat and ears itch like that! Only as a teenager did I realize this was an allergic reaction.) I guess I'd have to say any sort of berries and, like pure, pineapple. Mmmmmmm... Oh, and avocado. (Do they count? They're not sweet, but they ARE a fruit!)

Hehe, thanks, Michele. I love blueberries too, but they're hard to find here.

I love the fresh pineapple here, Pure.

Mmm. Erica, Fonda del Claustro at Plaza Satellite makes the best frozen mango margarita. Dang it, you made me want one and I have to wait for the gas company to arrive to fill our water tank. We have none left for showers so we all got cold ones last night and this morning.

Tina, I have a fun recipe for Louisiana fruit salad that calls for peach pie filling. It's the best I've ever made. Email me and I'll send you the recipe.

You got the country right, Jac. Pic was taken near Dreams in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed there back in October, really gorgeous. I love how mountains and rainforest give way so suddenly to white beach and blue oceans.

Hubby is taking me to Paris in May, and our next family vacation will be to Panama.

You killed me with your hissing in the sun line. I feel like that every spring here in Rainville!

LMAO! And as for my favorite fruit...Grapes, peaches, or strawberrys. I love cantalope but I'm allergic to melons and yes that does include watermelon. I've only eaten it once in my life and the resulting projectile vomit convinced me never to push the allergy envelope again. :D
