So Erica and I observed that we could use some motivation to write.
As a result, we're racing. I'm not sure what the final judgment is -- I'd guess whoever finishes her book first. It's not a sprint, but more of a cross-country thing. Writing 5K a day has trained me for this thing. I'll shoot for 2.5K a day or one chapter. Writing at that rate, I'll finish in about a month.
Writing as a competitive sport, who knew? My husband is terribly amused by the lengths I'll go to for motivation. And I think this qualifies as odd enough for odd friday, which also happens to be good friday.
Now I'm off to write. I wanna win, y'know! I'll post my word count later. I know ya'll are on the edge of your seat for daily race updates.

Oh, and if you're reading this I think you may end up with a few good smacks! ;)
I thought I had more words to type yesterday, but then I had a margarita and that somehow distracted me. =)
Today, though, I'm clocking in at 3108. Whoo-hoo! Your race idea totally lit a fire under my rear! (Er... when there's no distracting margaritas. *g)
I blogged about you, so don't leave me hanging on your daily race update!
GOOD LUCK
Hugs
