I admit it. I'm susceptible to marketing campaigns. When you put a dozen beautiful women on screen flipping their long, shiny hair around, I become curious. It's not that I think I'll be transformed into a tall, slim model, but I
do wonder what the shampoo can do for my hair. Is it better than what I use now? Really? When you put it in a cute pink bottle and tell me the formula contains pearl proteins and cashmere for superlative shine, I am yours.

See?! It's pink! So I switched to L'Oreal Elseve Nutri Gloss shampoo + conditioner. I'm innately lazy, so why do in two steps what I can do in one? It's still wet so I can't tell whether I now have marvelous supermodel sheen, but it hasn't stopped me from flipping my hair around in proper fashion. I almost put out the cat's eye. It does feel lovely, though, and silky smooth.
What marketing campaigns sucker
you in?
I think the shiny pink bottle would have got me too......I'm horrible watching infomercials about faster cooking products,if it wasn't for my DH, my kitchen would be filled with them. i bought a couple and have only used them when I first bought them.*g*

"It cuts through a tin can and then slices a tomato? Really??"
Thank God I don't see too many of those here anymore. Although there is this vibrating thingie that you prop your feet on lying down that is supposed to be better than a back massage. Andres wouldn't let me order it to find out.
As for the infomercials... I find that there is this "trade show" that comes around town once or twice a year that not only has those kinds of things (and perfume and jewelry and electronics sellers) but also if you go early on Sunday morning everyone is desperate to sell off as much as possible so they will have specials, and throw in sweets to the deal (like buy one get two free, I'm set on perfume for a while) to reduce stock and because if other customers see you walking around with their product they'll look for you. We got two set of those knives and those special towels that absorb like a two liter each for the price of on because of that vendor desperation.
They're good stuff.
Who makes that, Dee? I don't think I've seen it here.
My daughter loves to try all the new shampoos! Thats one thing we never run out of here because she is always buying them!
I'm a sucker to books of course, we all are, LOL. That RT magazine is addicting! But too, covers of books pull me right in too. Especially pics of Fairies! Love to read them in romance (and some straight fantasy) but love to see the covers!)
One last thing I'll mention that pulls me in (cuz I get pulled in alot and I'd otherwise be here all day, LOL) but its body soaps from Bath And Body Works. I love when they have the sales where you have to buy 3. I end up wanting to try so many scents. I'm not one to use perfume at all, but I love a scented body gel. I even smell so many bottles, that I still can remember which one I loved the best!
I will buy new shampoos and conditioners and lotons, though. :-)
Hi Caffey, welcome! I love new scents too. I could spend hours inside Bath and Bodyworks.
Mmm, lotions. I love trying out new ones. I have this homemade honey hand cream that just smells divine.
And anything to do with hair products. I'm always looking for the perfect product to make my hair...perfect. I've found it doesn't really exist. Waaah.
If I had to choose only 2 to get, I'd pick the Phytocitrus hair mask and the Phyto 7 leave-in hair cream.
It's nice not having to contemplate hair that looks like a lion's mane first thing in the morning any more.
Wild curls? Smooth, silky locks? A little bouncy / wavy?
Also, I'm bad for infomercials too. Usually when it's the middle of the night and I'm stoned.
