And the language you posted that in would be...?

BTW, did you move your blog to another hosting site? It takes freakin' FOREVER to load now!

Blogger N.J.Walters said...
LOL Now I've got to go and Google some of these. :-)

No, but maybe I should, Bev.

I've been having trouble with my blog the last twenty-four hours. It won't publish properly. I think it might be a problem with GoDaddy's servers, but I'm not sure. *sigh*

ok, now I want to go to Calvi, Ko Similan and Nuie.

And I don't know where they are. :(

Calvi is off the coast of France and is part of Corsica.

Ko Similan is an island nature park governed by Thailand. I think it's part of Thailand as well.

Niue is an island in the South Pacific that has a free association with New Zealand.

Most of the places on this list are very, very undeveloped, and I would love to see them.

Wow... are you sure these aren't planets in a far, far, far away galaxy?

I was able to get into your site no problem. And some of these places look great.

Blogger Lesley said...
Sign me up for a week at each please!!!

Blogger Ann Aguirre said...
Christine, they really do.

And wouldn't that be awesome, Lesley? :)

Blogger Angela/SciFiChick said...
Nope.. never heard of them!

Awwwe! Now I have to go look all these places up! And I was totally gonna leave my house today. LOL! Great TT!

You can click the links to see some lovely pictures, Emma.

But like me, you might be interested in the history. Yap has some really interesting stuff. They use stone money, very ceremonial.

Blogger Lisa Andel said...
Nope. Never heard of them. But wow, now I want to go too.

You are right I have never heard of any of those but they all sound interesting.
Hey good for you for publishing some books, I am still trying to get there.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. I will continue to look up on yours and I would love to get one of your books. The one that is coming out in 08 sounds great.

You'd be right, I hadn't heard of any of these. Thanks for the exotic links!

Oh, man, someone pass me a map!!
Quick! I must know where these places are!

Blogger Joely Sue Burkhart said...
Oh, man, such lovely pictures! I'd love to visit any of them.

Blogger Ann Aguirre said...
Thanks, Maribeth. I'm pretty excited about that release. Do stop by again! And good luck with your writing as well.

Charlene, I like to surf travel sites and look for unique destinations, places where there's history or unique crafts or something unusual. Like Inami (which is in Japan) is renowned for its woodworking and there's a woodworking museum.

Agreed, Joely, they are some beautiful spots.

Many of these places are islands, Jennifer, as I love the ocean.

Calvi is looking pretty darned good to me!

Thanks for reminding me how desperately I want to visit the Caribbean, sigh. ;)

Blogger KateS said...
Ok, normally I know at least one, and I can say haha, wow, I know that one!

Can't say I've ever heard of ANY of these. Wow. How'd you learn of them?

Blogger Ann Aguirre said...
Doesn't Calvi look heavenly, Lauren? I am hoping we'll get to go when we go to Europe over Christmas.

Robin, I would -love- to see Saba. It looks almost like another world, doesn't it?

Kate, I do a lot of "virtual travel." I read Fodor's a lot and Lonely Planet to see what little known destinations they recommend.

Blogger Heather said...
Can't say I've ever heard of any of these places, either, though the pictures are lovely.

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier!

I had heard of Niue, just had forgotten the name *g*. #1 and #3 are so beautiful. I'd love to go visit any of those.

Crap. I had the atlas out last night to look up some other places from someone else's TT and now I have to get it out again...

btw, *my* ShapeShifter's a rock/metal band. The kind of shifter everyone likes! :D

Blogger Elle Fredrix said...
Hmm, time to do some research. The only one I know is Saba.

Blogger Ann Aguirre said...
Prizes for Ann and Elle. :D

Do you guys read Fodor's and Lonely Planet too?

Blogger Amy Ruttan said...
Never heard of these places but will look them up more closely. Great TT, and yep I read all the Lonely planets I can get my hands on. I think they're great.
