You want it, don’t you? You don’t even need me to tell you how hot this antho is. Just look at that cover. It calls to you, doesn’t it?
At this point, you know me well enough to figure there’s going to be a contest. The question is, what am I going to do? Well, let me lay it out for you.
I’m giving away
five
copies of this sexy book. If you win, you promise you’ll review it somewhere.
To enter, there are two steps. First, you need to say you want the book in comment, but don’t just say “I want it!” or “Throw my name in the hat.” Tell me why you want it. If you’re a fan girl of one of the authors, say so. If you think it looks like prime wanking material, tell me that (but not in great detail — I’m not looking to host your onanistic fantasies). Next, you need to tell one other person about the contest. Obviously, this is on the honor system. Finally, I’m running this on a one comment / one entry system, so if you want the book bad you can greatly increase your chances of winning by hanging out here and conversing. To that end, I feel I must point out: comments must be at least five words, no spamming, no random links. In other words, I want you to post, but your remarks must have content and relate back to something in the comments thread somehow.
On Monday, May 5th, I’ll announce the winner. The contest will run for a week, and on Cinco de Mayo, I’ll use a random number generator to pick five lucky souls who will receive a free copy of What Happens in Vegas. Are you ready for this?
Game on!

[...] - I have contests here and here. The first one runs until May 5. Second just has a couple more days [...]
by Funny expressions (and contest stuff) / The Bradford Bunch April 28th, 2008 at 9:43 amI walked into the book store and saw this cover and instantly put it on my TBB list. The cover is so very hot and eye catching. Very yummy. When I saw what the book is about it made me want it even more.
by Larena Wirum April 28th, 2008 at 9:51 amI heard the book has a lot of hot sex. And I have been to Vegas three times and never had hot sex there.
by katiebabs April 28th, 2008 at 9:59 amOk, I’m passing on the contest because my reading has been next to nil lately and I cannot in good conscience promise to review when I may not even remember to read. Otherwise I’d be all over this because the cover is unbelievably hot and the stories sound like a lot of fun.
But lemme say:
“I feel I must point out: comments must be at least five words, no spamming, no random links.”
Dammit, she finally caught on to me. :D
And:
“I have been to Vegas three times and never had hot sex there.”
Hee! I don’t kiss and tell. . . unless ya get me drunk at RWA. (In which case you’ll probably regret it.)
by Lorelie April 28th, 2008 at 10:05 amAnn: Actually Vegas is a great place to get married! Saw so many brides and grooms walking around in their dresses and tuxs. I just went to the bar and played some keno to drown my un-married sorrows.
Lorelie: I am going to RWA also. heh heh heh.
by katiebabs April 28th, 2008 at 10:09 amAWWW!! So cute!
by katiebabs April 28th, 2008 at 10:15 amI really like Jodi Lynn Copeland and Anya Bast so I added the contest to the My Space page for Harlequin Spice Briefs.
Which probably makes me ineligible for the prize, since I am the Spice Briefs curator. :)
But hopefully you will get a lot of traffic from the MySpace page.
by lys April 28th, 2008 at 10:33 amPlease don’t enter me in the contest (the lovely Anya Bast sent me a copy earlier in the month–review will appear at Karen Scott’s blog soon, and is live here and here now–second link is to a scrolling board, where it’ll be up for a bout a week)
by azteclady April 28th, 2008 at 10:46 amDon’t enter me into the contest either - I’ve got a copy and reviewed it
. As to hot sex and Vegas… well the last time I was there I was 14, so it’s for the best there was no sexing on the trip. :X
by limecello April 28th, 2008 at 11:48 amI would love to win because these are new authors to me and I love finding new authors. Stories taking place in Vegas sound like fun… even though I’ve never been there.
by Ann M. April 28th, 2008 at 12:44 pmthe cover definitely caught my attention and so I had to go and investigate this book; upon investigating I really want to read this book and find out a few things about Vegas and it’s happenings. I then had to tell my guy friend about the book.
by RobynL April 28th, 2008 at 1:05 pmI have been to Vegas as a single girl at the time and was with my bff and her dh.
I also have to say that I have read three of the four authors and loved them. I haven’t had a chance to read anything from Kit though. I will have check out some of her stuff.
by Larena Wirum April 28th, 2008 at 2:32 pmI am huge Lauren Dane Fan, and Jodilynn Copeland, I would want this one just because the both of them were in it. I would review it on my myspace blog and of course shout out wherever I can bout it.
by tina brunelle April 28th, 2008 at 5:00 pmwell i dont have a webpage and ive never written a review.. but i am dying to read this book.. that is one awesome cover..
by Jolene April 28th, 2008 at 7:06 pmThe cover for this book is awesome. When I first saw it, I was reminded of my DH, he has a full back tattoo. I think we might take a picture with the same pose. I’m also excited to read what happens to thedancers, robbers, waitresses and shills in What Happens In Vegas.
by danette April 29th, 2008 at 1:12 amHugs, Danette
I’ve heard a lot of hype about the book, and thought it would be good to read it… though I normally hesitate to read something with authors I haven’t tried out before. An anthology is a good way to “try an author out.” Plus the cover is sexy.
by JC April 29th, 2008 at 7:50 amI need this book. I don’t want it I need it. lol. Seriously love everything Lauren dane writes. Also the other are fantastic too.
by Pamk April 29th, 2008 at 8:38 amAnd yeah I do a review and talk about the book too. Can I post a link to your blog on my blog for this contest.
I would love the book, because the cover is SOOO HOT!!
by Stefanie D April 29th, 2008 at 2:32 pmBut I haven’t ever read a book with really hot sex in it. I think I would adore it, but winning this book would give the opportunity to find that out for sure.
I want this book and will tell someone about the contest. The cover looks super hot! I love reviewing books and this definately looks like it will be fun to try to review without getting censored by Amazon. :)
by C. Baker April 29th, 2008 at 2:35 pmI love the cover! it’s so hot. Just by looking at it, I just know I’m gonna really like it. :D
by wendy April 30th, 2008 at 2:02 pmMy interest was piqued initially by the tattoo - I LOOOVE tattoos. Second, I am a huge fan of vampire romance, and I need something a little less “dark”, and this looks like a great place to start! I have heard of these names/authors, but I have never read them. I am looking forward to it. Even if I don’t win, I will be getting this book!!
by Brandy McIntosh May 1st, 2008 at 9:30 am[...] cool is this??!! Fellow Bradford Bunch authors Cynthia Eden and Ann Aguirre are both holding contests for copies of Vegas! Aren’t they awesome? Go on over and [...]
by Anya Bast » Blog Archive » Contest! Official Release Day of Vegas May 1st, 2008 at 3:24 pmI’d love to have this book, it looks so hot and I think I might learn a few tips I can use on my next Vegas trip, so then something can stay in Vegas. ;)
by Dina May 1st, 2008 at 5:08 pmI love Anya Bast, but I’ve never heard of the other three authors. I would love to give the other authors a try, but I’m broke so I probably won’t be able to get my hands on this book for awhile.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:23 amSince we’re told to spread the word about the contest, I just want to say that I actually did it, here’s my post.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:31 amAnthologies are the best way to find new authors! Each author has a short story, so if you are not clicking with any particular author, you’re not investing a ton of time into reading a novel. I have found so many authors this way, that I’m hoping I’ll get to find three more.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:35 amStefanie D - if you’re looking for a book with some really hot sex in it (do you mind if it’s paranormal?), then you need to check out Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. The second novel just came out on Tuesday and Chapter 32 is HOT!
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:36 amBrandy McIntosh - You’re a fan of vampire romance? Have you checked out Jeaniene Frost, Charlaine Harris, or MaryJanice Davidson? They all do vampires, but not the dark and brooding type. I would also recommend Keri Arthur, but her novels center more on werewolves than vampires.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:38 amI just starting reading all of the comments and had to make comments of my own. I guess I should have posted them all at the same time. :)
I will say that Anne is a new author for me and I haven’t had a chance to pick up any of her novels yet, but I’ve been hearing rave reviews about Grimspace so I can’t wait to get it.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:40 amJackie - I have read all those!! =) If it has a vampire in it, most likely I have read it or tried to read it!! I just want to branch out a little. Thanks for the suggestions because I am ALWAYS looking forward to new/unknown authors!!
by Brandy McIntosh May 2nd, 2008 at 8:43 amI’m going to be shameless and plug my own blog because I love to review books and I love to get comments, but if you’re looking for new authors Brandy, I have been compiling a list of series (separated by genre). Maybe you’ll find something there. :)
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:51 amOh man, that IS a hot cover! I would love to read this book. Why? Well, for one thing, I love me some hot erotic romance. Another, I have read only a few of the authors listed and an anthology is a great way to get to know more authors. Three, I have only been to Vegas once and that was for a U2 concert (camping out in the parking lot of the arena doesn’t count as really seeing much of Vegas does it?). Four, did I mention the hot cover? heh.
Actually, I really wanna see those Renn Faire costumes. *g* I used to be a regular Faire visitor and always wanted to have a costume. *sigh*
by sula May 2nd, 2008 at 9:13 amOkay…I’m a total Fan Girl of Lauren Danes. A friend of mine talked me into reading Tri Mates…Well, hell…that’s all it took, then I had to read the whole Cascadia series…which I cannot WAIT for more. Lauren has to write FASTER!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 9:31 amSo last month I started the Witches Knot series…finished that and LOVED it…I’m totally hooked, and trying to gloom her whole list, but there are a SO many, lol, and I’m supposed to be on a book diet because I’m moving, and that’s so not cheap!! Oh, and you can bet I’ve told WAAAaaaaaaaaaaYYYYYyyy more than one person about Lauren, but I’ll be thrilled to tell some more about Vegas…and I’ll be happy to review if on Amazon if that is cool…I could do B&N, too. I’ve read Anya Bast and really like her, too, but don’t think I’ve read the other two authors, so they’re new to me, so I’d like to check them out, too!
I just recently read my first novels by Anya Bast and have now become a fan! Though I haven’t read the other authors, after reading my friend Christine’s review of the stories I’m anxious to read it all. I love finding new authors this way! I’ll post a bulletin on myspace and tell them to mention my name!
by Tracy May 2nd, 2008 at 10:11 amI just came from Christine’s blog The Happily Ever After and she has a wonderful review of this anthology. After reading the review, it sounds like a book I would be very interested in. The only author I have read previously is Anya Bast, so it will be nice getting introduced to some new authors. Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of the book. Ann, you are so generous!
by Jill D. May 2nd, 2008 at 10:12 amMelissa - I’ve never heard of Lauren Dane before. What books would you recommend I start with?
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 10:27 amOK, so I read Christine Feehan’s rave about your book, which put it on my to-buy list. Then I surfed to your website & read one of your free stories, which was sad & lovely. From there, I saw this contest & wow — 3 things I love: romance books, sexy books, Vegas, and all in one. Sure, I’ll read & review it in my own blogs. Never enough books to read
by Miranda May 2nd, 2008 at 12:52 pmI’ve had hot sex in Vegas! The book appeals to me greatly because of the setting. And I agree with everyone about the cover. It’s fantastic! I’m familiar with all the authors except for Kit. I’m sending some friends over and you’ll know ’cause they will say I sent them. VIVA LAS VEGAS! And here’s hoping my Cinco de Mayo es muy caliente!
by Mel K. May 2nd, 2008 at 2:24 pmI am A HUGE lauren dane fan….when i have read previous books of her , the stories kept me enthralled . The reason this book has me pantin for it is the HOT cover and the smokin LD
I promise to review this book anywhere and everywhere because I want to pass how hot this book sounds on
by april s May 2nd, 2008 at 5:52 pmJackie…I started with her Ellora’s Cave series, The Cascadia Wolves…I didn’t read the first one in order, and you don’t have too…they’re great, and not so connected that you have to read every one to keep up with what’s going on. But you do get to revisit with the charachters, which I love to do, so I always want their stories. I’ll list them in order: Enforcer, Reluctant, Tri Mates, Wolf Unbound and Standoff. I LOVE this series…it makes me want to start it again just writing about it. You so won’t be able to quit!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 8:08 pmThanks Melissa! I’ve added her books to my TBR list.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:13 pmI know you’ll love them!! I’m a HUGE fan of shapeshifters…and this series has been added to my list of faves!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 8:16 pmI’m checking out Kresley Cole myself, have just bought like 4 of her books, because everyone keeps raving about how great her books are…so I know I’m missing out here. LOL, and don’t ask me how I’ve done that, but I must have been sleeping on that one….
I’m just looking at Kresley Cole’s website, trying to figure out which book is the first one. I have like a billion books in my TBR pile, but I can’t decide what I want to read, so I was thinking I might download something from Mobipocket by Kresley Cole!
Well, so I’m not the only one who’s now itching to jump into that bandwagon?
by azteclady May 2nd, 2008 at 8:19 pmI keep hearing about Ellora’s Cave…are they a publishing house or a group of authors? Kresley Cole is on my list to.
Have you seen Shapeshifter Romance? It’s a new blog set up by AJ Hampton; Jennifer St.Giles; Lori Devoti; Marcia Colette; Rebecca York; Teresa D’Amario; Terry Spear.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:22 pmNope, I’m on that bandwagon with ‘ya!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 8:23 pmI’m over here on eFictionwise checking out her books…lol. They have her new one on sale for 50% off!! YeSSssss!! I’m so on that!! Ummm….Was No Rest For The Wicked the first one?? I can’t remember…I have a few of them already, but saw this sale, so thought I’d check out some other titles. LOL, guess GMTA!
OMG, Jackie….It IS A Hunger Like No Other…and Ellora’s Cave is http://www.Ellorascave.com You’ve never been there?? And you have an e reader?? You ARE in for a treat!! Check out that site, girl!! They have alot of authors that are big names now that started out there…they have many titles that you don’t even know there are stories there….Christine Warren, Lora Leigh, Sylvia Day…Wow, just tons. Check it out!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 8:25 pmJackie, I just saw a comment about that new blog at readers’ blog I visit–interesting, no?
Ann, it’s just that I keep hearing really good things about Kresley Cole and I keep thinking, “az, you haven’t read anything by her, have you? what are you waiting for? wanna be the last person on earth to read her?”.
by azteclady May 2nd, 2008 at 8:25 pmAnd thanks for the link to the Shapeshifter blog…that is new to me!!
by Melissa May 2nd, 2008 at 8:27 pmI’ll have to check it out!!
Melissa, there’s a sale at Fictionwise? Good to know. *goes to look*
Jackie, EC is a publishing company. They do erotic romance.
Ann - Ahhh, that explains the comments I’ve been hearing about the EC party at RT.
Don’t worry Az, she’s on my list, but my list is 176 books strong, so who knows when I will get to it.
by Jackie May 2nd, 2008 at 8:46 pmMelissa - I don’t have an e-reader, but I do have a laptop. Would Adobe work just as well for some of those titles? I’ve never been to Ellora’s Cave, but I’m thinking I need to head over there now.
by Jackie May 3rd, 2008 at 4:43 pmI would love to read this book, for I have not been in VEGAS in ages and need to remember things. I do not remember having hot sex the last time i visited, but this book could inspire me for my next visit? One never knows….for what happens in VEGAS…stays in VEGAS!!

by Nancy May 3rd, 2008 at 6:58 pmHi Ann!!
These authors, Jodi, Anya and Lauren, I’ve had the joy of reading before and gosh when I heard they were having an anthology together I’ve been waiting since the day I knew! I’m so thrilled its finally here! I love to read lots of romance, but when it comes to having 3 stories in an anthology its like a huge treat, especially when it sizzles! Some days I grab out anthologies just so I can get a bunch of tastes to read :) I never been to Vegas so this will be as close as I will get to it, LOL.
by Caffey May 3rd, 2008 at 9:17 pmI would love a copy of this book because I am a fan of Anya Bast. I am going to post this contest on my FB page right now so at least 180 people will potentially see it. LOL
And it will be reviewed on my blog along with other books etc. I LOVE to read and review. :)
by Rachel May 4th, 2008 at 4:59 pmThanks!
