I worked for the Princess (before it was Fairmont) for 5 years and did my honeymoon and 1st year anniversary at the Acapulco Princess. The hotel is beautiful, but I agree on the service, and being Gringo were way out of our element when we went into town. But it was free so I can't complain. Did they still have the peacocks that scream like a woman dying?

Nice! Sounds like y'all had a terrific time. My mother ADORES the Fairmont Acapulco Princess. Seriously, loves it. When she and my dad were last there, I think they had a bungalow thingy where they came every morning and put fresh hibiscus flowers in their swimming pool and served breakfast by the pool. It sounded lovely.

Welcome back, Ann!

The Acapulco Princess is truly a wonderful place to stay--even if the service weren't amazing, the architecture is breathtaking.

So, now that you are all rested and stuff :cheeky  whatcha writing?

Sounds very full. I like a trip that feels that way. You get everything in, yet you don't feel rushed or like it wasn't enough and then you go home and it is good.

Yes, let us Wang Chung tonight!

Peace.
