Dear Readers,
On July 22nd at 7:30pm, I will be at Dallas’s in NYC. Katiebabs tells me it’s a great place and perfect for our purposes, which is a reader – author jamboree. I hear they have great food at reasonable prices, tasty BBQ and yummy margaritas. They also won’t raise a brow if we’re a little rowdy and raucous.
This is an open invitation to anyone who lives in the NYC area or will be in the vicinity on July 22. This is open to authors, readers, aspiring authors, pretty much anyone who wants to show up and eat BBQ and drink margaritas with us. If you bring your copy of Grimspace along, I will happily sign it.

I’ll make sure to get there early, so you won’t ask for our table and the servers will be like, huh?

yes we did :) i wasn’t sure if you’d remember(rt was full of many people, not to mention how early breakfast was..)
since then i’ve read the fabulousness that is grimspace *grins*
i’m definitely looking forward to the rendezvous! And yes, I can vouch for the hugeness that is the Texas sized margarita ;)

I’ll have to think about it. I normally don’t come into the City by myself at night. Semi-whimp here. When it gets closer I’ll give you a firm yes or no. I’m tempted.

Awesome! I have some good news, ladies.
I’ve lined up some beefcake. A friend who inspired a hero in one of my books is going to be there!

The way our numbers are climbing, I think I’m going to need to do a party reservation. They ask you to pick the menu (I hope we can just order whatever we want when we’re there) but should I go for:
Chicken
Ribs
Chicken / Rib combo
Chicken/ rib / shrimp combo
Super combo with pina colada
Side dish = fries, baked potato, rice
I lean toward saying Chicken / rib / shrimp because that covers the basis. And doesn’t everyone like fries?
Thoughts?
Hopefully, this is just to get us a table, and we can still just order whatever. I think the contract just guarantees they’ll have a table for a party this size.
